Garlic Parmesan Ranch Sauce You’ll Want to Put on Everything

Ranch dressing is one of those condiments that people either overlook or are obsesed with. Everyone knows what store-bought ranch tastes like, it's fine, standard..but when you start branching out it'll ruin bottled ranch for you forever!. This version is the latter - It’s the kind of sauce that disappears from the fridge because you’ll keep finding new things to dip into it.
Ingredients
-
¼ cup Mayonnaise
-
¼ cup Sour Cream
-
¼ cup Buttermilk
-
1 tsp Garlic Powder
-
1 tsp Onion Powder
-
4 cloves Roasted or Confit Garlic
-
Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
-
A Pinch of MSG
-
¼ cup Fresh Dill, chopped
-
¼ cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
-
1 tbsp Parmesan, finely grated
Method
You can make this in a few ways, depending on how much effort you want to put in:
-
Whisk: Finely chop the herbs and garlic, then whisk everything together in a bowl.
-
Blend: Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth.
-
Immersion Blend: Combine it all in a jar or bowl and blitz with an immersion blender.
That’s it. There’s nothing complicated here. The roasted garlic and fresh herbs do all the work.
Tip: Control the Color
If you want the ranch to stay more white and look closer to the classic bottled version, deal with the parsley before you mix it in. After chopping, wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as you can. Less moisture means less green color spreading through the dressing. Personally, I don’t mind the green, but this step keeps the look more traditional if that’s what you’re going for.
How to Use It
This garlic parm ranch works with almost anything. Some ideas:
-
Crispy chicken sandwiches
-
Fries, wings, and onion rings
-
Roasted or grilled vegetables
-
Pizza crusts
-
Salads
-
Straight from the spoon when no one’s around
It’s rich, savory, and full of depth. Once you make it, you’ll want a jar in your fridge at all times.
Final Thoughts
A simple sauce like this can completely change how a meal tastes. It’s fast to make, stores well, and adds flavor to almost anything you pair it with. Mix up a batch, keep it chilled, and get ready to reach for it constantly.
